Go Back "Little Women"

Louisa May Alcott's “Little Women” is an epic tale that covers several years and many characters. The action moves along swiftly with Josephine's narration. Josephine, of course, is Louisa May Alcott and our story begins at Christmas 1863.

The story covers several years and many characters, Josephine (Jo) Marsh, as narrator, gives background information to tie the scenes together. “Little Women” is, indeed, a story that every person ought to see. It is a story familiar to nearly every American. The four March daughters—Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy—continue to live in the hearts of readers, causing smiles and tears, triumph and tragedy as they grow up, fall in love and face life. This classic American tale will touch the heart of every person and lends itself beautifully to the holiday season due to its Christmas scenes and messages of generosity, peace, and understanding that exist in this tale amidst the complicated time in which the sisters lived.

It will touch surely touch every heart that sees it and given that it opens with the Christmas holiday, we have chosen to present this piece as our 2024 holiday show. We are thrilled to have Kevin Pelkey, (a regular actor here at A@A's and an accomplished regional director), directing this piece. We hope you will join us for this special and touching tale set in our period holiday decorated venue which has become a theatrical destination during the holidays and all through the year!
